1. Jay Cutler- News came out a few days ago that he re-signed with the Bears through 2020.
2. Michael Vick- It's been clear for some tie now that Chip Kelly has moved away from Vick. He may be entering the Twilight of his career but he could be a started for a weak team or a solid backup.
3. Josh McCown- You may not feel like McCown deserves a mention but after throwing for 13 touchdowns and only 1 INT this savvy veteran has earned his mention.
4. Josh Freeman- When the Vikings traded for Freeman during the season I thought he would be their started for a while. Well the Vikings gave up on him after barely a week. Freeman should land where he can be a backup so he can understudy.
1. Knowshon Moreno- Like the Dumervil situation the Broncos messed up Moreno's club option and voided it for this coming year. Moreno had a rocky start to his career but has turned around. Rushing for more than 1,000 yards and more than 10 Tds for the first time. If the Broncos don't steal him back Moreno could be a force on a new team.
2. Rashad Jennings- Filling in for Darren McFadden, Jennings proved his worth. Jennings has averaged 4.9 yards per carry in his career.
3. Maurice Jones-Drew- Jones turns 29 in March and injuries have started to mount up for this beast of a back. The Jaguars and Drew have expressed mutual interest in his coming back. If the Jaguars do not sign him I expect him to go to a team where he can platoon with an already established back.
4. Ben Tate- Tate enters free agency after having an injury plagued year. Even so he still managed 771 yards and 4 touchdowns. Only 25 years old Tate still has a lot of good time for the team that chooses to sign him.
1. Anquan Boldin- At 33 years of age Boldin is a bit older but he still is a big threat. If he was a few years younger he could be a #1 receiver on any team, but here he will have to be looking at becoming a solid #2 option.
2. Julian Edleman- Stepping in for the departed Wes Welker, Edleman is one of the major reasons the Patriots have stayed competitive this season after all of their injuries.
3. Jeremy Maclin- Imagine a world where the Eagles have Maclin... scary. Unfortunately Maclin was lost before the season to a knee injury and will hit free agency while still in rehab. Maclin has expressed interest in coming back to the Eagles.
4. Eric Decker- Having an all-star cast around him in Wes Welker and Demaryius Thomas certainly helps Decker in the long run. In 3 season Decker has amassed 31 touch down catches including passes caught from Orton and Tebow.
1. Jimmy Graham- 1,000 plus yards and 11 plus touchdowns has only happened to a TE 11 times EVER and Graham has done it twice. The only question here is which team is going to shell out the cash for his talents.
2. Jermichael Finley- Finley who suffered a season ending injury when he was paralyzed this season hopes to play football again. Depending on how his rehab goes he may be able to sign with a team this offseason, or next offseason.
3. Dennis Pitta- A fine free agent target if he decides not to go back to the Ravens.
1. Alex Mack, C- Ask Joe Flacco what its like to lose a great center, these guys are important. Mack is arguably the best center in the league and should have a lot of competition for his services this offseason.
2. Branden Albert, T- The Chiefs drafted Eric Fisher as Albert's heir apparent. I do not believe they pay Albert and keep Fisher out of his natural position. Expect Albert to get a nice big contract and instantly improve anyone's line.
3. Eugene Monroe, T- Monroe has done a decent job with Baltimore this season. According to Pro Football Focus he has only gave up 4 sacks all season and was excellent in run blocking. The Ravens are looking to keep Monroe.
4. Michael Oher, T- Oher really hasn't lived up to the lofty expectations everyone had for him but he is still a solid option at tackle. Hitting free agency as one of the worst rated offensive tackles, he is still young though and with the right coaching he could be serviceable for some teams.
1. Jared Allen, DE- Allen who is a little bit older than most other free agents still commands the respect he deserves. He has been the most consistent player on defense by far in the NFL for the past few season with the Vikings. He should be looking for one last multi year deal.
2. Michael Johnson, DE- Even though stats would make you think otherwise, Johnson has had a stellar year surpassing his career high in tackles despite only achieving 3.5 sacks. He is the second best 4-3 DE in the league.
3. Henry Melton, DT- Another player who was lost before the season started. Melton is a large reason in Chicago's defensive collapse and know his value. At only 27 and medicine improving every day its really on Chicago or other teams to see what they think about this injury.
4. Greg Hardy, DE- One of the most underrated ends in the league, Hardy has had at least 11 sacks for two years and is well rounded. This 25 year old is a super-star in the making.
1. Karlos Dansby- Dansby couldn't have had a better year to prove his worth. A defensive player of the year candidate and being third in the league with 109 tackles. Dansby was a cast off from the Dolphins last year only to cash in with the Cardinals this year. While he is getting up their in age he will still command a large contract.
2. Brian Orakpo- Orakpo is going to want to leave Washington for a contender, it's as simple as that.
3. Shaun Phillips- Like Dansby he has had a career resurgence and again his age will play a factor in his deal but he has shown he can still produce with 10 sacks this year.
4. Daryl Smith- It's a hard task to replace Ray Lewis but Smith has done a fine job in the hall of famers old position. Like most of the other free agent linebackers Smith is slightly older but should still get a nice contract.
1. Aqib Talib- Talib has shown he can be a shutdown corner, holding the likes of Jimmy Graham, A.J Green and Mike Wallace to small numbers. He has also shown he can take games off but he is still a great corner and should get a multi year deal somewhere.
2. Brent Grimes- A nice surprise for the Dolphins Grimes has had one of the best season at cornerback in the NFL this year. Grimes led the league in pass deflections and allowed zero touchdowns.
3. Tim Jennings- Jennings has had a slower year than he had last year. Only 3 interceptions compared to his league leading 9 a season ago.
4. Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie- DRC had a horrible time with the Eagles and it made his value plummet. In Denver however he has had a resurgence, he still has the size and speed to be a good pickup.
1. Jairus Byrd- The Bills want him back badly and for good reason, he is the best Free Safety in the NFL.
2. Bernard Pollard- Having success with the Titans this year Pollard still has the stuff to get it done, being 10th in the league with 93 total tackles and 3 interceptions.
3. Donte Whitner- He committed to improve his skills and he has. Whitner is an impressive run stopper and he now rates as one of the best safeties in the league.
4. T.J Ward- Ward has the 3rd most tackles at the safety position this year and has openly said he would like to return to Cleveland. The Browns will have the cap space so its in their court.
1. Pat McAfee, P- McAfee was good enough to get the franchise tag from the Colts last season. Even though he hasn't had as good of a year he is the best punter on the market.
2. Dexter McCluster, Kick Returner- Even though he is a WR, McCluster is a much better returned than receiver. He leads the league in punt return yardage and touchdowns.
3. Devin Hester, Kick Returner- No longer the huge threat he was in the past Hester still possesses the skills of a good returner and has no real other position.
4. Adam Vinatieri, K- The most clutch kicker in the history of the NFL who also happens to be making 87.5% of his kicks.
